Cover it. Contain it.

Fire blankets, EV fire blankets, lithium battery and document bags, welding curtains, pallet and rack covers, and heat-resistant fabric by the roll. Try the fire blanket pouch.

How to use a fire blanket

  1. Pull both tapes down hard

The blanket drops out of the pouch, open and flat.

  2. Hold it up as a shield

Roll the top edge over your hands so the fabric is between you and the heat.

  3. Lay it over the fire

Place it away from you. Do not throw it. Turn off the heat if you can.

  4. Leave it until cool

Lifting it early lets air back in. If the fire is not out, get out and call 911.

The paperwork

Every report and certificate we cite comes from our manufacturer and is on file. If a product does not have one, its page says so.

ASTM F1989

Standard Specification for Cooking Fire Suppression Blankets

The US specification for blankets used to put out accidental cooking fires. It covers flexibility, ease of removal, electrical resistance and fire performance.

Covers: Fire blanket / welding blanket, 40 x 40 in, C-glass fiberglass, manufactured by Zhengzhou Inry Industry Co., Ltd.

EN 1869:2019

Fire blankets, the European standard

A voluntary certificate from ECM, an Italian certification body, after review of Inry's technical file against EN 1869:2019, the European fire blanket standard. Inry also holds an EN 1869 test report, available on request with its client's details removed.

Covers: Fire blanket and welding blanket, C-glass 430 and C-glass 840, 1 x 1 m to 2 x 2 m, certificate holder Zhengzhou Inry Industry Co., Ltd.

DIN SPEC 91489:2024-11

Requirements for fire limitation blankets for use with electric vehicles

A German specification for blankets that cover a burning vehicle to limit fire spread and smoke. It is about containment around an electric vehicle, not about putting the battery fire out.

Covers: Fire limitation blanket, 6 x 8 m, Zhengzhou Inry Industry Co., Ltd.

UL 94

Flammability of plastic materials for parts in devices and appliances

A material flammability test (how a material burns and self-extinguishes). It rates the material, not the finished blanket's fire-fighting performance.

Covers: Fire blanket, 1 x 1 m, C-glass 430 and C-glass 840 fiberglass. Issued to Zhengzhou Youyan Fiberglass New Materials Co., Ltd., which Inry identifies as its manufacturing factory.
